CSR procurement

With the aim of being a company trusted by the society, KOFLOC not only complies with the laws and regulations but also promotes non-financial initiatives in which people in the world is getting more and more interested, such as protection of human rights, conservation of the environment and contribution to local societies. Every employee will continuously make effort, taking the company’s policies regarding CSR procurement as the rules to be observed.

Efforts regarding conflict minerals

In the U.S., the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd Frank Act) enacted in July, 2010, requires U.S. listed companies to disclose whether or not they use tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold (3TG) originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding 9 countries to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in order to prevent financing military groups committing acts of inhumanity. Although neither the act in the U.S. nor the relevant rule in Europe applies to KOFLOC, we strongly agree to their policy from the perspective of social responsibility, and will continue to make efforts to eliminate the conflict minerals from the areas relating to acts of inhumanity.

Each office and factory of our company has acquired the ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications as a part of quality management and environment management systems, respectively.

KOFLOC believes that solving various environmental issues, such as climate change that is recently causing many troubles, and passing on a rich environment on the earth to the next generation is the most important issue common to all people in the world. We will continue to implement our business activities with consideration for prevention of environmental pollution on the earth.
