Policy
Our company aims to contribute to realizing a sustainable society and improve our corporate value through our manufacture for the future of "People" and "the Earth".
Activities for human rights and work environment
(1) Respecting the rights of labor
- In the business activities of our company, we never engage in forced labor or child labor.
- We comply with the relevant labor laws and regulations and provide appropriate working conditions and fair wages to our employees.
(2) Prohibiting discrimination
- We respect the human rights of all people and never engage in any discrimination based on gender, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, physical disability or other characteristics.
(3) Providing safe and healthy workplaces
- Strictly comply with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.
- Appropriately manage hazardous substances and take safety measures in the workplaces.
- Establish an emergency response plan and conduct emergency drills.
- Provide a healthy and safe working environment.
Details of our activities
- Lifestyle-related disease checkups (health checkups)
- Disease prevention measures (influenza vaccines)
- Stress check program (Implement a stress check every year and provide feedback to the employees.)
- Cooperation with an occupational health physician (The physician attends meetings of the Safety and Health Committee once in two months and is responsible for health management of the employees.)
- Hold meetings of the Safety and Health Committee (Regarding measures to improve the workplace environment, secure safety and eliminate dangers, a meeting is held every month.)
- Hold meetings of the Work Improvement Committee (Regarding overtime work management, etc., a meeting is held every month.)
- Use of the employment management system (Thoroughly perform time management to prevent long working hours.)

(4) Fair employment practices
- In new graduate and mid-career recruitment activities, we never discriminate any applicant for employment based on gender, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, physical disability or other characteristics.
- We promote support for persons with disabilities and minorities. As of 2024, three employees with disabilities are working in our company.
(5) Respecting the rights of employees
- The internal reporting desk (the legal advisor office and HR professionals) has been established to accept consultation and whistleblowing reporting. We guarantee the privacy of the whistleblower (consultation and reporting can be done anonymously) and never allow the person to suffer disadvantages.
(6) Developing human resources
- To encourage our employees to enhance their careers, we have introduced a subsidy system for qualification acquisition, which can also support acquisition of qualifications in fields other than their assigned duties. In addition, we have introduced an employment transfer request system so that our employees can challenge themselves for their desired careers.
Qualification examples: Bookkeeping test, Forklift operation skills, Hazardous materials engineer, etc. Acquisition of 56 qualifications is supported in total. - Employee evaluation is conducted cross-sectionally to guarantee objective evaluation not influenced by subjective factors.
(7) Promoting work-life balance
- Taking work-life balance of our employees into consideration, we strive to reduce overtime work and actively encourage them to take paid holidays.
Furthermore, in April 2022 to April 2024, nine employees (six females and three males) have taken childcare leave or used the short-time working system, which was introduced to realize work-life balance of the employees who are raising preschoolers.
Environmental conservation
(1) Improving energy efficiency and utilizing renewable energy
- From January 2022, we have replaced all the electricity consumed in the Head Office and Kyotanabe Factory in Kyoto and Yawata Factory with electricity derived from renewable energy.
(2) Reducing waste and promoting recycling
- With the aim of reducing waste, we control and monitor the quantity of waste. We also strive to correctly segregate all the waste and raise awareness about waste reduction.
- We implement recycling projects of old uniforms.
(3) Raising environmental consciousness
- We are making efforts to use environmentally friendly equipment, such as LED lighting. In addition, we are using a demand monitoring system for monitoring electricity consumption and other information so that the consumption can continuously be appropriate.
(4) Promoting development of environmentally friendly products
Based on the recognition that one of the most important issues common to all humankind is to address various environmental problems, including climate change recently warned, and to pass on the rich environment to the next generation, KOFLOC Corp. will promote our business activities while considering prevention of environmental pollution.
- Acquire and maintain ISO14001 (environment)
- By using the gas generators of our company, which eliminate the need to replace and purchase the cylinders, CO2 emissions due to transportation can be reduced. In addition, we can support the whole product lifecycle from production, sale to maintenance, which enables the customers to use the products for over 20 years with maintenance.
Healthy business activities
(1) Ethical business practices
- We never offer any bribe to the officers of central or municipal governments, or government-linked companies. In addition, we never provide any benefit to gain unfair profits and never offer any gift or entertainment that can be regarded as provision of convenience.
(2) Controlling product and service qualities
- Promote safe and high-quality products and services
- We are striving to manufacture safe, secure and high-quality products complying with relevant standards, such as the RoHS Directive.
(3) Continuously providing products and services (maintenance)
- Based on the spirit of “customer centricity”, we are making efforts to continuously develop, supply and maintain products and services while always understanding the customers’ perspectives.
(4) Compliance
- Comply with the domestic and foreign laws, regulations and the industry standards.
- Provide the employees with education and training on compliance.
Supplier relationships
- Ensure fair competition based on open and fair corporate behaviors.
- Realize mutual prosperity based on mutual trust.
- Comply with the Subcontract Act.
Relationships with local society (environmental and economic contributions, emergency restoration, traditional culture, etc. )
- Donation through an SDGs private placement bond (to KYOTO SHIKO SOCCER CLUB)
- Co-sponsorship of Kyoto Kyotanabe Citizen Festival (held every autumn)
- Support for Kyoto Kizugawa Marathon (provision of our parking for free, co-sponsorship)
