•What is Karman Vortex?
When an obstruction is placed in the flow of fluids, swirling vortices are formed. This repeating pattern of vortices is named Von Karman vortex street, in honor of the physicist Theodore von Kármán. Under set conditions, the number of vortices formed inside a tube is proportional to the flow of fluids running through that tube. By counting the number of vortices, one can identify the flow quantity.
